About The Position

The primary functions of the Delivery Helper are to load materials, locate jobsites, assist with backing procedures, prepare and restore jobsites, prepare the truck for the following day, and maintain trucks and equipment. This role involves frequent local travel to customer jobsites as part of daily delivery operations. The position requires working primarily in outdoor jobsites, customer locations, and delivery environments, with regular exposure to varying weather conditions, dust, noise, traffic, moving equipment, and other conditions typical of construction supply and building materials operations.

Requirements

Ability to read, write, and communicate information accurately.
Ability to safely load, unload, and handle building materials.
Ability to follow safety procedures and work instructions.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
0-1 years of experience in delivery, warehouse, construction, or a related field.

Nice To Haves

Experience in building materials, construction, delivery, warehouse, or related industries.
Experience operating in active construction jobsites.
Familiarity with safe material handling practices.

Responsibilities

Comply with company, state, and federal guidelines, particularly as they relate to OSHA and DOT requirements for the safety of all personnel.
Perform pre-trip inspections of equipment, paperwork, and loaded product to ensure order accuracy.
Safely unload product and deliver materials to the assigned area as directed by the customer.
Secure mud, equipment, metal, pallets, and other materials on the truck.
Assist with route navigation to jobsites.
Maintain a safe work environment and follow all company safety procedures.
Assist in preparing trucks and equipment for the following day's deliveries.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
