About The Position

The Delivery Expert delivers products by car to customers within a designated delivery area and performs general store team-member duties. The role offers a flexible schedule and opportunities for advancement, including into management and franchise ownership. Orientation and training are provided on the job. General store work includes operating equipment; stocking ingredients; preparing products; receiving and processing telephone orders; taking inventory and completing paperwork; and cleaning equipment and the facility. The position requires customer and coworker communication, order entry, basic arithmetic and handling money, and the ability to navigate delivery locations and challenging terrain.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record meeting company standards.
Must have access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
Must be able to read maps, locate addresses, and navigate the designated delivery area, including adverse terrain and multi-story buildings.
Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions and communicate verbally with customers and coworkers.
Ability to perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly and make correct monetary change.
Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
Motor coordination to make precise movements quickly and accurately, and ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Ability to work alone and with others, perform repetitive tasks, work under stress, meet quality standards, deal with people, and make judgments and decisions.
Ability to perform the described physical tasks, including standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, reaching, and occasional climbing.
Ability to work in varying temperatures and weather conditions and around food odors, cornmeal dust, hot surfaces, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts.

Responsibilities

Deliver products by car to customers within the designated delivery area and carry them to the customer's door.
Deliver flyers and door hangers.
Operate store equipment and prepare products.
Stock ingredients from delivery areas to storage and work areas.
Receive and process telephone orders, communicate with customers and coworkers, and enter orders by keyboard or touch screen.
Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
Clean equipment and the facility.
Unload and stock bulk product deliveries using a hand truck.
