About The Position

The Cashier operates the cash register to process guest payments and issue receipts, and keeps track of cash and credit transactions. The role also involves answering phones, greeting customers, monitoring restaurant seat availability, and assisting with bussing and cleaning tables. The Cashier must be able to perform assigned duties in an interruptive environment with frequent time pressures and help maintain the safety and security of employees and customers. Other duties may be assigned.

This position is in a 24/7 high-energy casino environment committed to fairness, teamwork, and fun. The work environment includes exposure to alcohol, cigarette and cigar smoke, bright lights, and loud noises; smoking is allowed. Physical requirements include standing and walking continually throughout a scheduled shift, bending, stooping, and reaching while carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds, and pushing and carrying trash bags weighing up to 50 pounds.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• One year of food service experience is preferred.
• Ability to organize and be creative.
• Knowledge of sanitation and health department regulations for safe food handling.
• Ability to use a cash register, credit card machine, point-of-sale machine, restaurant bar equipment, and other equipment.
• Ability to read simple instructions.
• Knowledge of Alcohol Beverage Control laws, health regulations, and PPE (Personal Property Equipment).
• Ability to communicate in English.
• Must be able to comply with all state gaming regulations, which may include obtaining a license.
• Ability to stand and walk continually throughout a scheduled shift.
• Ability to bend, stoop, and reach while carrying dishes, product, equipment, or trash/waste weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to push and carry trash bags weighing up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Fluency in Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, or another Asian language is a plus.
• One year of food service experience is preferred.
