About The Position
The Delivery Expert delivers orders to customers within a designated area and also performs general store team member duties. The role offers a flexible schedule and opportunities for advancement, including potential paths to management and franchise ownership. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. Team members operate store equipment, stock ingredients, prepare products, receive and process telephone orders, take inventory, complete paperwork, and clean equipment and the facility. Delivery work includes driving orders to customers’ homes and delivering flyers and door hangers. The job involves physical activity such as standing, walking, lifting and carrying supplies and orders, climbing stairs, and working in varied store and outdoor conditions.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record meeting company standards.
- Must have access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
- Must have navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
- Must be able to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings.
- Must be able to comprehend and give correct written instructions and communicate verbally with customers and co-workers.
- Must be able to perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly and make correct monetary change.
- Must have verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Must have the motor coordination to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
- Must be able to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Must be able to work alone and with others, perform repetitive tasks, work under stress, meet quality standards, and make judgments and decisions.
- Must be able to perform the physical demands of the job, including standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, bending, reaching, and climbing stairs.
Responsibilities
- Deliver products by car to customers within the designated delivery area, including bringing orders to the customer's door.
- Deliver flyers and door hangers.
- Operate store equipment; stock ingredients; prepare products; receive and process telephone orders; take inventory and complete paperwork; and clean equipment and the facility.
- Navigate to delivery addresses, including through adverse terrain and multi-story buildings.
- Unload and stock product deliveries, including lifting cases weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Communicate with customers and co-workers to process orders in person and over the phone.
