About The Position

The Delivery Expert delivers food and promotional materials to customers within a designated delivery area and also performs general store-team duties. These duties include operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, processing telephone orders, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. The position offers a flexible schedule and potential opportunities for advancement, including management.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record meeting company standards.
• Must have access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
• Must have navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses in the designated delivery area.
• Must be able to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings.
• Ability to understand and give correct written instructions and communicate verbally with customers and coworkers, in person and by telephone.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly and make correct monetary change.
• Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
• Motor coordination to make precise movements quickly and accurately; ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
• Ability to work alone and with others, perform repetitive tasks, work under stress, meet quality standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
• Ability to perform the physical tasks described, including standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, climbing, bending, crouching, reaching, and driving.
• Ability to carry delivery products while walking and climbing, including navigating five or more flights of stairs when required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products by car to customers’ doors within the designated delivery area; several deliveries may be required per shift.
• Deliver flyers and door hangers.
• Operate store equipment and stock ingredients from the delivery area into storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler.
• Prepare products and receive and process telephone orders.
• Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
• Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
• Navigate delivery routes, addresses, adverse terrain, and multi-story buildings.
