About The Position

The Delivery Expert delivers orders by car to customers within a designated area and performs general store team member duties. The role includes preparing products, receiving and processing telephone orders, stocking ingredients, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. The position offers a flexible schedule and opportunities for advancement, including into management.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must have a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record meeting company standards.
Must have access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
Must be able to read maps and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
Must be able to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites.
Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions and communicate verbally with customers and coworkers, in person and by telephone.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly, and make correct monetary change.
Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
Motor coordination to make precise movements quickly and accurately, including using a computer keyboard or touch screen to enter orders.
Ability to work alone and with others, perform repetitive tasks, work under stress, meet quality-control standards, deal with people, and make judgments and decisions.
Ability to perform the physical tasks described, including standing, walking, lifting and carrying supplies up to 50 pounds, pushing or pulling trays, bending, reaching, and climbing stairs.
Ability to meet the sensory requirements of the position, including talking and hearing by telephone, near-, mid-, far-, and night-vision, depth perception, and distinguishing hot and cold surfaces.

Responsibilities

Deliver products by car to customers and carry orders from the vehicle to the customer’s door.
Deliver flyers and door hangers.
Operate store equipment and stock ingredients in storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler.
Prepare products and receive and process telephone orders.
Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
Navigate the designated delivery area, including adverse terrain and multi-story buildings.
Unload and move product deliveries using a hand truck, and stock supplies on shelves.
Follow quality-control standards and communicate with customers and coworkers.
