About The Position

The Delivery Expert delivers products by car to customers within a designated delivery area and may also deliver flyers and door hangers. The role includes general store team duties such as operating equipment, stocking ingredients and supplies, preparing products, receiving and processing telephone orders, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. The position offers a flexible schedule and opportunities for advancement, including into management.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record meeting company standards.
• Must have access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
• Must be able to read maps, locate addresses within the delivery area, and navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings.
• Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
• Ability to communicate verbally with customers and coworkers in person and by telephone.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly; a calculator may be used.
• Must be able to make correct monetary change.
• Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
• Motor coordination to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
• Must be able to navigate delivery sites while carrying products.
• Must be able to meet the physical demands of the role, including standing, walking, lifting and carrying items up to 50 pounds, pushing or pulling trays, climbing stairs, bending, crouching, and reaching.
• Must be able to work under stress, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, and meet quality-control standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products by car to customers within the designated delivery area and to their doors.
• Deliver flyers and door hangers.
• Operate store equipment.
• Stock ingredients and supplies from the delivery area to storage and work areas, including the walk-in cooler.
• Prepare products.
• Receive and process telephone orders, including entering orders by keyboard or touch screen.
• Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
• Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
• Unload and store bulk product deliveries, using a hand truck as needed.
