About The Position

The Delivery Expert delivers products by car to customers within a designated delivery area and performs general store-team duties. Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record meeting company standards.
• Must have access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
• Must be able to read maps, locate addresses, and navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings.
• Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions and communicate verbally with customers and co-workers.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly and make correct monetary change.
• Verbal, writing, and telephone skills for taking and processing orders.
• Motor coordination to make precise, rapid movements; ability to use a computer keyboard or touch screen.
• Ability to work alone and with others, perform repetitive tasks, work under stress, meet quality standards, and make judgments and decisions.
• Ability to perform the physical tasks described, including standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, reaching, bending, crouching, climbing, and driving.
• Ability to carry deliveries and navigate stairs, potentially five or more flights.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products by car to customers and bring them to the customer's door.
• Deliver flyers and door hangers.
• Operate store equipment; stock ingredients and supplies; prepare products; receive and process telephone orders; take inventory and complete related paperwork; and clean equipment and the facility.
• Communicate with customers and co-workers in person and by telephone to process orders.
• Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen and handle monetary change accurately.
• Navigate to addresses in the delivery area, including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites.
• Unload and move ingredient and supply deliveries, stock shelves, and carry products and supplies as needed.
• Perform occasional maintenance and cleaning tasks, including navigating stairs or using a ladder when needed.
