About The Position

The Delivery Expert delivers products by car to customers within a designated delivery area, while also performing general store team-member duties. The role offers a flexible schedule and opportunities for advancement, including into management. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. Store duties include operating equipment; stocking ingredients and supplies; preparing products; receiving and processing telephone orders; taking inventory and completing paperwork; and cleaning equipment and the facility. Delivery duties include delivering pizzas, flyers, and door hangers, and carrying products to customers, potentially across stairs or other challenging terrain. The job involves frequent standing and reaching, short-distance walking, and occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, stooping, and crouching. Team members may handle deliveries weighing up to 50 pounds and work around hot surfaces, moving parts, food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped spaces, and changing temperatures and weather conditions. Driving may take place in adverse weather, and deliveries may require navigating multi-story buildings and multiple flights of stairs.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record meeting company standards.
Must have access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
Must be able to read a map, locate addresses, and navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings.
Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions and communicate verbally with customers and coworkers, including by telephone and in person.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly, and make correct monetary change; a calculator may be used.
Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
Ability to use a computer keyboard or touch screen to enter orders.
Ability to perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet quality standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
Ability to perform the physical tasks described, including standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, bending, crouching, and reaching.
Ability to drive and deliver in varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions.

Responsibilities

Deliver products by car to customers within the designated delivery area and carry them to the customer's door.
Deliver flyers and door hangers.
Operate store equipment and prepare products.
Stock ingredients and supplies from the delivery area to storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler.
Receive and process telephone orders, communicate with customers and coworkers, and enter orders using a keyboard or touch screen.
Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
Navigate delivery locations, including adverse terrain, private homes, multi-story buildings, and stairs.
