About The Position

The Delivery Driver delivers pizzas within a designated delivery area and provides customer service while working on the road and in the store. Drivers receive training to assist with deliveries, pizza preparation, and other in-store tasks. The role includes operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, receiving and processing telephone orders, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. Drivers may make several deliveries per shift and are expected to meet company standards for safe driving and quality.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Friendly, positive attitude and great customer service skills.
Valid driver's license.
Reliable vehicle to use for deliveries.
Proof of car insurance.
Safe driving record meeting company standards.
Navigational skills to read a map, locate addresses within the designated delivery area, and navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings.
Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders by phone and in person.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly; a calculator may be used.
Ability to make correct monetary change.
Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet strict quality control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
Ability to talk and hear on the telephone, with near- and mid-range vision for most in-store tasks, depth perception, and ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.
Ability to stand for most tasks and walk short distances for short durations.
Ability to unload and handle deliveries, including cases weighing up to 50 pounds, and carry supplies and food products.
Ability to push or pull trays on dollies, infrequently navigate stairs or climb a ladder, and perform bending, crouching, squatting, and continuous reaching and hand tasks.

Responsibilities

Deliver pizzas within a designated delivery area, potentially making several deliveries per shift.
Operate all equipment.
Stock ingredients from the delivery area to storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler.
Prepare products.
Receive and process telephone orders.
Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
Assist with in-store tasks and pizza preparation.
