About The Position

Domino's Pizza is hiring delivery drivers to serve stores in the Hernando, Mississippi area. The role offers a flexible schedule and may suit someone seeking a primary job, supplemental work, or a job compatible with school or other commitments. Team members may have opportunities to advance into management and other roles. Drivers deliver products by car to customers within a designated delivery area and may also distribute flyers and door hangers. The position includes general store-team duties such as operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, processing telephone orders, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. Orientation and training are provided on the job. The work involves customer and co-worker communication, order entry by computer keyboard or touch screen, handling money, and navigating delivery locations. Working conditions can include adverse weather, temperature changes, food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped spaces, hot surfaces, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. Physical tasks include standing, walking, sitting, lifting and carrying supplies, pushing or pulling trays, bending, crouching, reaching, climbing stairs, and carrying products during deliveries.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record meeting company standards.
Must have access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
Must be able to read maps and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
Ability to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings and delivery sites.
Ability to comprehend and provide correct written instructions.
Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders by phone and in person.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly, with a calculator if needed, and make correct monetary change.
Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Ability to perform the described physical tasks, including lifting and carrying supplies weighing up to 50 pounds, climbing stairs, and carrying products during deliveries.
Ability to work alone and with others, perform repetitive tasks, work under stress, meet quality standards, and make judgments and decisions.

Responsibilities

Deliver products by car to customers within the designated delivery area.
Deliver flyers and door hangers.
Operate store equipment.
Stock ingredients and supplies from the delivery area to storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler.
Prepare products.
Receive and process telephone orders and communicate with customers and co-workers in person and by phone.
Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen and handle monetary transactions accurately.
Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
Navigate delivery locations, including adverse terrain, private homes, multi-story buildings, and stairs.
