Delivery Driver - Full Time
About The Position
Omnicare Pharmacy Delivery Drivers deliver prescription orders and other products to customers on a predetermined route and schedule using a company-provided vehicle. They help ensure medication needs and regulatory compliance standards are met, maintain patient confidentiality and ethical conduct, and use a customer-service mindset while supporting pharmacy workstations and tasks so prescriptions can be filled promptly, safely, and accurately. The role supports Omnicare, which will operate as an independent, standalone organization following its sale by CVS Health; the employee will be employed by Omnicare.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Geographical knowledge of the service area.
- Flexibility to work nights and weekends.
- Current, valid driver’s license in the state, at the level required to operate the vehicle.
- Ability to drive for long periods of time.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience as a Delivery Driver.
- Previous driving experience as a limo driver, taxi or bus driver, courier, or gig-economy worker.
Responsibilities
- Deliver medications, equipment, products, and supplies accurately and on time to long-term care facilities or patients’ homes.
- Load products and materials.
- Maintain the vehicle and alert management to maintenance issues.
- Comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Maintain professional and ethical standards.
- Follow applicable government regulations, including HIPAA, to protect patient confidentiality.
- Support pharmacy workstations and tasks to help fill prescriptions promptly, safely, and accurately.
