About The Position

The Delivery Driver delivers parts to customers while building relationships and representing the NAPA brand. Between deliveries, the driver stocks shelves and works in the warehouse, picks up parts from vendors, maintains accurate stockroom inventory, and handles delivery and pickup tracking. The role requires safe driving throughout the metropolitan area, maintaining the delivery vehicle through safety checks and basic maintenance, and caring for company assets, merchandise, vehicles, the building, and people. Drivers should be comfortable working independently, serving customers face to face, and adapting to a fast-moving environment and a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to bend to floor-level shelves, reach shelves up to eight feet using a stool or ladder when needed, stand and walk for an entire work shift, and lift up to 60 pounds of merchandise.
• Ability to correctly handle cash and charge transactions and core and part returns.
• Ability to maintain a distribution log or tracking system for deliveries and pickups.
• Clear speaking and attentive listening skills.
• Ability to drive throughout the metropolitan area using maps and directions.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Deliver parts to customers and develop customer relationships.
• Stock shelves and work in the warehouse between deliveries.
• Pick up parts from vendors and ensure stockroom parts are accurately stocked; maintain and check inventory.
• Drive safely while delivering parts.
• Represent the NAPA brand when meeting customers.
• Build long-term relationships with delivery customers.
• Maintain the store delivery truck by following safety checklists, keeping it clean, and performing basic maintenance such as checking tire pressure.
• Handle cash and charge transactions correctly and process core and part returns appropriately.
• Maintain a distribution log or tracking system for deliveries and pickups.
• Inspect, protect, and maintain company assets, merchandise, vehicles, the building, and people.
