About The Position

The Delivery Driver delivers orders by car to customers within a designated delivery area, including carrying products to customers’ doors. Drivers may make several deliveries per shift and also deliver flyers and door hangers. The role includes general store-team-member duties such as operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, receiving and processing telephone orders, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. On-the-job orientation and training are provided.

The position involves driving in varying weather and navigating delivery locations, including private homes, multi-story buildings, and stairs. It also requires frequent standing, walking, reaching, and hand use, as well as occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, bending, crouching, and climbing. Work conditions may include temperature changes, food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped spaces, hot surfaces, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record meeting company standards.
• Have access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
• Have navigational skills to read maps and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
• Be able to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites, while carrying products.
• Be able to comprehend and give correct written instructions and communicate verbally with customers and coworkers.
• Be able to perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly, make correct monetary change, and use a calculator if needed.
• Have verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
• Be able to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
• Be able to perform the physical tasks described, including standing, walking, carrying products, and climbing stairs during deliveries.
