About The Position
The Delivery Driver delivers pizza and other products by car to customers within a designated delivery area, including bringing orders to customers’ doors and delivering flyers and door hangers. Drivers may make several deliveries per shift. The role also includes general store-team duties such as operating equipment, stocking ingredients and supplies, preparing products, receiving and processing telephone orders, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. The position offers a flexible schedule and opportunities for advancement, including potential progression to management or franchise ownership.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid driver's license and a safe driving record meeting company standards.
- Access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
- Must pass a criminal background check.
- Ability to read maps, locate addresses within the designated delivery area, and navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with customers and coworkers, including processing orders by phone and in person.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic and make correct monetary change.
- Ability to use a computer keyboard or touch screen to enter orders.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including standing, walking, carrying, lifting, reaching, bending, and navigating stairs.
Responsibilities
- Deliver products by car within the designated delivery area and carry orders to customers’ doors.
- Deliver flyers and door hangers.
- Operate store equipment; stock ingredients and supplies; prepare products; receive and process telephone orders; take inventory and complete paperwork; and clean equipment and the facility.
- Navigate delivery routes, addresses, adverse terrain, and buildings, including stairs.
- Unload and stock product deliveries, which may involve using a hand truck and lifting cases weighing up to 50 pounds.
