About The Position

The Delivery Driver is responsible for delivering orders safely and promptly while providing quality customer service in person and over the phone. The role also includes payment collection, checking orders for accuracy and quality, maintaining the delivery vehicle, promoting products and promotions, and supporting store operations. Drivers may be cross-trained in food preparation, opening and closing procedures, oven operation, and packaging orders. Work conditions vary.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record that meets company standards.
• Must have access to an insured vehicle that can be used for deliveries and be listed as an insured driver on that vehicle.
• Must be able to read maps, locate addresses within designated delivery areas, and navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings.
• Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly; a calculator may be used.
• Must be able to make correct monetary change.
• Must be able to speak and write clearly and use a computer-based order entry system.

Responsibilities

• Collect cash and credit card payments and coupons for delivered items.
• Check products for accuracy and quality before delivery, and deliver them safely and promptly.
• Ensure the delivery vehicle passes mechanical and visual inspections.
• Maintain company standards for grooming, uniform, and appearance.
• Promote pizza products, specials, and promotions.
• Receive cross-training in preparing products and ingredients, opening and closing procedures, operating the pizza oven, and packaging orders for delivery or carryout.
• Respond promptly to store phone calls and assist carryout customers.
• Provide quality customer service to internal and external customers in person and over the phone.
• Contribute to a teamwork-oriented, energetic, and fun atmosphere.
• Stock ingredients from the delivery area to storage, the work area, and the walk-in cooler.
• Prepare products.
• Receive and process telephone orders.
• Take inventory and complete associate paperwork.
• Clean equipment and the facility daily.
• Operate all equipment.
