About The Position

Domino’s Pizza is hiring a Delivery Driver to deliver products to customers within a designated delivery area. Drivers deliver by car to customers’ doors and may also distribute flyers and door hangers. The role offers a flexible schedule and opportunities for advancement, including potential paths into management and franchise ownership. On-the-job orientation and training are provided.

Drivers may also perform general store team-member duties, including operating equipment; stocking ingredients and supplies; preparing products; receiving and processing telephone orders; taking inventory and completing paperwork; and cleaning equipment and the facility. The work involves interacting with customers and co-workers, using a computer or touch screen to enter orders, handling money, and working in a busy food-service environment.

The position requires driving and walking between the store, vehicle, and customer locations, sometimes carrying pizzas and beverages and navigating stairs, multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites. Store and delivery work may involve adverse weather, varying temperatures, cramped spaces, food odors, cornmeal dust, hot surfaces and tools, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. Physical tasks may include standing, walking, lifting and carrying supplies, pushing or pulling trays, climbing, bending, crouching, reaching, and frequent hand use.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record meeting company standards.
• Have access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
• Have navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
• Be able to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites, while carrying products.
• Be able to comprehend and give correct written instructions and communicate verbally with customers and co-workers.
• Be able to perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly, and make correct monetary change.
• Have verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
• Have the motor coordination to make precise movements rapidly and accurately, and the ability to enter orders using a keyboard or touch screen.
• Be able to meet the position’s physical demands, including carrying products during delivery and navigating stairs; delivery may require climbing five or more flights.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with customers and co-workers in person and by telephone, and enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
• Handle monetary transactions and provide correct change.
