About The Position

The Delivery Driver operates equipment and performs food-preparation and order-processing tasks. Duties include stocking ingredients in storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler; preparing products; receiving and processing telephone orders; and cleaning equipment and the facility daily. Orientation and on-the-job training are provided. The role involves communicating with customers and co-workers in person and by phone, handling monetary transactions, and entering orders by keyboard or touchscreen. Work may involve exposure to varying temperatures, food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped spaces, hot surfaces, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts, as well as frequent physical activity.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders over the phone and in person.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly, using a calculator if needed.
• Ability to make correct monetary change.
• Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
• Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet strict quality standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
• Ability to direct activities.
