About The Position
The Delivery Driver operates equipment, stocks ingredients from the delivery area into storage and work areas, prepares products, receives and processes telephone orders, takes inventory, and completes associated paperwork. The role also involves cleaning equipment and the facility approximately daily. The driver delivers products by car to customers’ doors and distributes flyers and door hangers. The position requires navigating the designated delivery area, reading maps and locating addresses, and carrying products across varied terrain, including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites. Drivers also communicate with customers and co-workers in person and by phone to process orders.
Requirements
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly; a calculator may be used.
- Ability to make correct monetary change.
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
- Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders in person and over the phone.
- Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
- Ability to navigate varied terrain, including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites, while carrying product.
- Ability to deliver product by car.
