About The Position
The Assistant Manager operates equipment; stocks ingredients from delivery areas to storage, work areas, and walk-in coolers; prepares products; receives and processes telephone orders; takes inventory and completes related paperwork; and cleans equipment and the facility approximately daily. The role also involves delivering products by car to customers’ doors and delivering flyers and door hangers. The job requires accurate and quick basic arithmetic, handling monetary change, taking and processing orders by phone and in person, and entering orders with a computer keyboard or touch screen. It requires motor coordination for rapid, precise movements, the ability to understand and provide written instructions, and communication with customers and co-workers. Delivery duties require map-reading and address-finding skills, as well as navigating varied terrain, including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying products. The listed pay is $17–$19 per hour, plus potential bonus. Benefits listed include a 401(k) plan, health insurance for full-time positions, and bonus eligibility for management roles. Requirements
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly; a calculator may be used.
- Ability to make correct monetary change.
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
- Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders by phone and in person.
- Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
- Ability to navigate varied terrain, including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites, while carrying products.
