About The Position

The Delivery Driver delivers pizzas within a designated area and may make several deliveries per shift. Drivers also work in the store, where they receive training and help with tasks such as preparing pizzas, taking and processing orders, stocking ingredients, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. The role includes customer interaction and working independently and with other team members.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Friendly, positive attitude and strong customer service skills.
Valid driver's license.
Reliable vehicle for deliveries.
Proof of car insurance.
Safe driving record that meets company standards.
Navigational skills to read maps and locate addresses within the designated delivery area, including navigating adverse terrain and multi-story buildings.
Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly; a calculator may be used.
Ability to make correct monetary change.
Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
Motor coordination between eyes and hands or fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet quality control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
Ability to lift and handle deliveries weighing up to 50 pounds and perform the listed physical tasks, including standing, walking, carrying, pushing or pulling trays, occasional climbing, bending, crouching, and continuous reaching and hand use.
Ability to talk and hear on the telephone, use near- and mid-range vision, perceive depth, and distinguish hot from cold surfaces.

Responsibilities

Deliver pizzas within the designated delivery area.
Operate all equipment.
Stock ingredients from the delivery area to storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler.
Prepare products.
Receive and process telephone orders.
Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
Communicate with customers and co-workers to process orders by phone and in person.
Unload and stock bulk product deliveries using a hand truck.
Perform other store and outside tasks, including removing trash and occasional maintenance or sign-related tasks.
