About The Position
This position delivers bakery products to customers efficiently and safely while following company procedures. The driver operates a heavy or tractor-trailer truck, loads and unloads products, maintains required activity logs and documentation, reports issues or incidents to the transportation manager, inspects the truck before and after trips, follows documentation and collection procedures for COD accounts, and adheres to FMCSA guidelines. The position is located in Houston, Texas, and lists a salary of $67,600.00 and weekly pay of $1,300.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of delivery experience.
- Class A Commercial Driver's License.
- Ability to operate a 10-speed splitter.
- Ability to consistently lift 50 pounds.
- Strong work ethic.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Basic math skills.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a heavy or tractor-trailer truck.
- Load and unload products using a hand dolly and electric pallet jack.
- Track and document activity logs properly.
- Report issues or incidents to the transportation manager.
- Inspect the truck before and after each trip.
- Follow company policies and procedures for documentation and collecting for COD accounts.
- Adhere to all FMCSA guidelines.
