About The Position

This hourly store team member role includes operating equipment; stocking ingredients from delivery areas into storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler; preparing products; receiving and processing telephone orders; taking inventory and completing related paperwork; and cleaning equipment and the facility approximately daily. Orientation and on-the-job training are provided.

The position requires communicating with customers and coworkers by phone and in person, following written instructions, processing orders, handling payments, and using a computer keyboard or touchscreen. Work involves standing for most tasks, short periods of walking, and occasional paperwork at a desk. Team members unload bulk deliveries using a hand truck and may lift supplies weighing up to 50 pounds, carry ingredients and dough trays, move trays on dollies, and occasionally use stairs or a ladder.

Working conditions include exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather during outside tasks, changing temperatures from a walk-in cooler to hot work areas, food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped spaces, hot surfaces and tools, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts.

Requirements

• Comprehend and give correct written instructions.

• Add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly, with a calculator if needed.
• Make correct monetary change.
• Have verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
• Coordinate eyes and hands or fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
• Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touchscreen.
• Meet physical demands that include standing for most tasks; lifting deliveries weighing up to 50 pounds; carrying items; pushing or pulling trays on dollies; and infrequently navigating stairs or climbing a ladder.
• Work independently and with others, perform repetitive tasks, work under stress, meet quality control standards, interact with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
• Have the near and mid-range vision, depth perception, hearing, and ability to distinguish hot and cold surfaces needed for the work.
