About The Position

Viking Electric is hiring a full-time CDL Delivery Driver in St. Cloud, Minnesota. The driver transports electrical products from the warehouse to local customers in a box truck or straight truck, returning home each night. The schedule is Monday through Friday with a 4 a.m. start. Pay is $24.00–$29.00 per hour, with placement in the range based on relevant Class B CDL delivery experience. Compensation also includes a short-term incentive bonus and a full benefits package. The exact base pay may vary based on experience, skills, and location. The role includes inspecting the vehicle before and after routes, preparing and loading materials, making deliveries, contacting customers upon arrival, and helping unload products. Drivers are expected to follow safety procedures and provide courteous customer service. Viking Electric is part of Sonepar, a global electrical distributor.

Requirements

Valid driver's license with a Class B CDL.
Must be at least 21 years old.
Ability to climb into and drive delivery vehicles.
Ability to lift packages weighing up to 85 pounds.
Ability to pass and maintain a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical with the company's physician network.
Basic math skills, including adding and subtracting numbers.
Basic English communication skills.
Willingness to learn how to operate equipment; training is provided.
Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

One year of related experience and/or training is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Conduct vehicle inspections at the start and end of each route.
Transport and deliver products to customers with care.
Load materials and packages for delivery.
Contact customers upon arrival and assist with unloading items such as wire, pipe, conduit, and boxes.
Follow safety procedures and regulations.
Maintain a friendly and courteous demeanor with customers.
