(Seasonal) Delivery Driver (Amazon DSP - Bronx) - NorthStar Logistics NYC
About The Position
NorthStar Logistics, a family-operated Amazon Delivery Service Partner, is hiring seasonal Delivery Drivers to deliver packages to homes, retail locations, and other destinations in the Bronx. Drivers use Amazon-branded cargo vans equipped with safety technology and are expected to deliver orders on time while providing excellent customer service. The role involves physically demanding work in varied weather and on different routes, including handling 200–300 packages per day and repeatedly entering and exiting a van. Commercial, DOT, CDL, or other work-related driving experience is a plus but is not required. Part-time seasonal work is also available. Typical schedules are four 10-hour shifts per week, but schedules are not guaranteed and may vary based on individual performance and route volume. Pay is $24.75 per hour, with an overtime rate of $37.125 per hour; pay is weekly. The position offers opportunities for performance incentives and bonuses, and the company notes that supervisory roles may become available as it grows.
Requirements
- Must be at least 24 years old.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Must have an unrestricted, valid driver’s license in the state of employment for at least three years; a commercial driver’s license is not required.
- Must maintain a clean motor vehicle report; multiple violations may disqualify applicants.
- Must pass a five-panel drug screening; pre-employment marijuana testing is not included.
- Must be independent, flexible, attentive to detail, and able to quickly solve a range of problems.
- Must communicate effectively and prioritize safety and customer satisfaction.
Nice To Haves
- Commercial, DOT, CDL, or other work-related driving experience is a plus but is not required.

- Interest in growing with the company; supervisory roles may become available as the company grows.
Responsibilities
- Handle and deliver packages according to company rules and regulations.
- Safely drive company vehicles and conduct daily vehicle safety inspections.
- Follow local and state laws, driving regulations, and company policies.
- Provide excellent customer service, including in stressful conditions.
- Work at a physically demanding pace in all weather conditions and on varied routes; lift packages up to 50 pounds and repeatedly enter and exit the van while delivering 200–300 packages daily.
- Communicate effectively with the support team to provide customer service and complete deliveries.
- Use a smartphone for GPS navigation, package scanning, administrative tasks such as clocking in and out, and communication with supervisors and team members.
- Load and unload packages in the delivery vehicle.
- Assist other team members with their routes by participating in rescue calls.
- Perform delivery-station activities, including sorting and general tasks, when needed.
- Help other delivery drivers deliver packages when performing a rescue.
