About The Position
The Delivery Driver operates equipment; stocks ingredients from the delivery area in storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler; prepares products; receives and processes telephone orders; takes inventory and completes related paperwork; and cleans equipment and the facility approximately daily. The driver delivers products by car to customers’ doors and distributes flyers and door hangers. The role requires navigating the designated delivery area and varied terrain, including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites, while carrying products. The position requires accurate and quick basic arithmetic, including making correct monetary change; verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders; hand-eye and finger coordination to make precise movements quickly; the ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touchscreen; and the ability to understand and give written instructions and communicate with customers and coworkers in person and by phone.
Requirements
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly; a calculator may be used.
- Ability to make correct monetary change.
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touchscreen.
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
- Ability to communicate verbally with customers and coworkers in person and by telephone.
- Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
- Ability to navigate varied terrain while carrying products.
