About The Position
The General Manager operates equipment, stocks ingredients from the delivery area to storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler, and prepares products. The role receives and processes telephone orders, takes inventory, completes associated paperwork, and cleans equipment and the facility approximately daily. It also involves delivering products by car to customers’ doors and delivering flyers and door hangers. The position requires accurate and quick arithmetic, including making correct monetary change; verbal, writing, and telephone skills for taking and processing orders; and the ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen. The General Manager must communicate with customers and co-workers, understand and provide written instructions, and use precise, rapid motor coordination. Delivery duties require map-reading and address-finding skills, as well as navigating varied terrain, including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying products.
Requirements
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly; a calculator may be used.
- Ability to make correct monetary change.
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
- Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders by phone and in person.
- Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
- Ability to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites, while carrying product.
