Join us as our next Motor Vehicle Operator here in Silverdale, WA at the Navy Exchange Service Command. Work Monday-Friday, weekends and holidays off. Must be a U.S. Citizen. Requirements

  • Must possess a valid state driver’s license or a valid commercial driver’s license CDL.
  • Must possess the knowledge and skills necessary to operate a motor vehicle safely.
  • Associate must receive hazardous material HazMat training within 90 days of hire per Department of Transportation regulations.
  • This position requires a Tier 3 secret level personnel security investigation for suitability. Failure to obtain acceptable results within 6 months of appointment will result in termination.
  • GENERAL EXPERIENCE: One year of experience that provided the knowledge and ability to perform the duties of operating a motor vehicle to transport items to and from various locations.
  • One year of high school education may be substituted for 3 months of general experience up to a High School Diploma or GED for one year of general experience.

Responsibilities

  • Operates a motor vehicle such as a pick-up truck weighing up to 10,000 pounds for either specific trip assignments or regularly established schedules and standard routes to transport personnel supplies materials or equipment and tools.
  • Loads and unloads vehicles ensures vehicle is not overloaded.
  • Signs for and obtains receipt for merchandise as required. Opens, inspects, and counts to ensure that loads conform to receipts and notes overages/shortages or damaged merchandise and reports to supervisor.
