The Delivery Driver delivers products safely and courteously while following traffic laws, company policies, and the company-approved safe delivery program. Drivers must know the delivery area, make a cash drop after each delivery, and never leave for a delivery carrying more than $20. They represent the company positively, handle customer concerns with grace and congeniality, and take steps to impress, delight, and satisfy customers. Before delivering, drivers must have the necessary equipment ready, including a full tank of gas, a full uniform, and a car-top sign that is lit after dark. Their vehicle must be safe and well maintained. Drivers must report pressure to drive unsafely to the safety hotline and the owner or supervisor, maintain a good driving record, and immediately inform their manager of any changes to it. The role also assists with store operations, including answering phones, making pizzas, preparing and stocking the makeline and soda cooler, folding boxes, handling coupons, cleaning surfaces, sweeping and mopping floors, and other maintenance as directed by the manager in charge. The work takes place outdoors during deliveries and indoors around heat from cooking. The position involves frequent driving, sitting, standing, and walking, along with occasional lifting, carrying, reaching, twisting, bending, squatting, climbing, and pushing or pulling. Drivers use their own automobile, food-preparation equipment, cleaning equipment and supplies, and boxes. They may be asked to assist with lifting or carrying heavy items.
