About The Position
The Delivery Driver delivers products to customers safely and on time, collects cash or credit card payments and coupons, and helps ensure each order meets quality standards. Drivers use a personal vehicle, read maps to locate delivery addresses, and maintain the vehicle in mechanically and visually acceptable condition. They uphold Domino’s grooming, uniform, and appearance standards and promote pizza products, specials, and promotions. The position also includes cross-training in product and ingredient preparation, opening and closing procedures, oven operation, and boxing orders for delivery or carryout. Drivers may answer store phone lines and assist carryout customers while providing quality service and contributing to a teamwork-focused, energetic, and fun atmosphere.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license and a safe driving record that meets company standards.
- Proof of liability insurance for the driver and vehicle.
- Navigational skills to read maps and locate delivery addresses.
- Ability to speak and write clearly.
- Ability to use a computer-based order entry system.
Responsibilities
- Collect cash and credit card payments and coupons for delivered items.
- Read maps and determine directions quickly; locate delivery addresses.
- Check products for accuracy against delivery quality standards and deliver them safely and on time.
- Ensure the delivery vehicle passes mechanical and visual inspections.
- Uphold company grooming, uniform, and appearance standards.
- Promote pizza products, specials, and promotions.
- Deliver flyers and door hangers using a personal vehicle.
- Receive cross-training in preparing products and ingredients, opening and closing procedures, operating the pizza oven, and boxing products for delivery or carryout.
- Respond promptly to store phone lines and assist carryout customers.
- Provide quality customer service to internal and external customers over the phone and in person.
- Contribute to and promote an atmosphere of teamwork, energy, and fun.
