About The Position

The Delivery Driver delivers pizzas within a designated area and provides customer service while working both on the road and in the store. The role includes full training and a variety of in-store tasks, such as preparing products, processing orders, and helping the team. The position may offer opportunities to advance from delivery work into management or franchise ownership.

Drivers use their own reliable vehicle and are responsible for meeting company safe-driving standards. The work involves operating equipment, handling ingredients and supplies, taking and processing orders, and maintaining clean equipment and facilities. The role requires working in a range of indoor and outdoor conditions and performing physical tasks such as standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, climbing, bending, crouching, and reaching.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Friendly, positive attitude and strong customer service skills.
• Valid driver's license.
• Reliable vehicle for deliveries.
• Proof of car insurance.
• Safe driving record that meets company standards.
• Navigational skills to read maps, locate addresses in the designated delivery area, and navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings.
• Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
• Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders by phone and in person.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly; a calculator may be used.
• Ability to make correct monetary change.
• Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
• Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
• Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
• Ability to work alone and with others, perform repetitive tasks, work under stress, meet quality-control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
• Ability to lift and handle deliveries weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to perform the physical tasks described, including standing, walking, carrying, pushing, climbing, bending, crouching, and continuous reaching and hand use.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pizzas within the designated delivery area, potentially making several deliveries per shift.
• Operate store equipment.
• Stock ingredients from the delivery area to storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler.
• Prepare products.
• Receive and process telephone orders.
• Take and process orders in person and by phone, using a computer keyboard or touch screen as needed.
• Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
• Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
• Carry pizzas and beverages during deliveries and navigate customer locations, including stairs when required.
• Unload and stock ingredient and supply deliveries using a hand truck.
• Assist with in-store work and other team tasks.
