About The Position
Deliver pizzas and other products by car to customers within a designated delivery area, bringing orders to the customer’s door. Drivers may make several deliveries per shift and also deliver flyers and door hangers. The role includes general store-team duties such as operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, processing telephone orders, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. The position offers a flexible schedule and opportunities for advancement, including management and franchise ownership.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record meeting company standards.
- Access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
- Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses in the designated delivery area.
- Ability to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying product.
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions and communicate verbally with customers and co-workers.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly, make correct monetary change, and use a calculator if needed.
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Ability to meet the physical demands described, including standing, walking, carrying, lifting, reaching, and climbing stairs.
Responsibilities
- Deliver products by car to customers’ doors within the designated delivery area.
- Deliver flyers and door hangers.
- Navigate to addresses using maps and other navigational skills, including through adverse terrain and multi-story buildings.
- Operate store equipment; stock ingredients; prepare products; receive and process telephone orders; take inventory; complete related paperwork; and clean equipment and the facility.
- Communicate with customers and co-workers in person and by telephone to process orders.
- Unload bulk product deliveries using a hand truck and move, carry, push, or pull supplies and trays as needed.
