About The Position

VAZ Restaurants, LLC., which operates 29 Domino’s franchise locations and is growing, is hiring delivery drivers. The role includes delivering orders and periodically helping with in-store tasks such as food preparation and cleaning. Team members may also operate equipment, stock ingredients, prepare products, process telephone orders, take inventory, complete paperwork, and clean equipment and the facility. Orientation and on-the-job training are provided. The company describes opportunities for growth and advancement, including into management and franchise ownership. Drivers must meet the stated age, licensing, driving-history, vehicle insurance, registration, and safety requirements. They must be available to work weekends and holidays. Pay is $20.00 per hour, plus tips and mileage. The work involves customer communication and order processing, using computers or touch screens, and navigating delivery locations, including adverse terrain and multi-story buildings. Working conditions can include varying weather, temperature changes, food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped spaces, hot surfaces and tools, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. Physical tasks include standing, walking, occasional sitting, lifting and carrying supplies, pushing or pulling trays, climbing stairs or ladders, bending, crouching, reaching, and frequent hand use and coordination.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old.
Have a valid driver's license and at least two years of licensed driving history in the United States, with documentation to prove it.
Have an unsuspended or uninterrupted driving history for at least 1.5 years during the last two years; the suspension cannot be at the start of the two-year period.
Meet the stated driving-record limits: no more than one violation and one at-fault accident in the last two years; no more than two violations and one at-fault accident in the last three years; no more than three violations in the last three years; and no more than one at-fault accident in the last three years.
Have no distracted-driving or inattentive-driving violations in the last three years and no serious violations in the past five years.
Have access to a vehicle that is insured, registered, meets safety standards, and has the driver listed on its insurance policy.
Meet company standards for safe driving and pass required periodic delivery-vehicle inspections.
Have customer-service and verbal communication skills to interact with customers and co-workers and process orders by phone and in person.
Be able to read a map, locate addresses, and navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings.
Be able to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
Have basic arithmetic skills, including making correct monetary change.
Have verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
Have motor coordination, near and mid-range vision, depth perception, and the ability to distinguish hot from cold surfaces.
Be able to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Be able to perform the physical tasks described, including lifting deliveries weighing up to 50 pounds and carrying supplies.
Be available to work weekends and holidays; this is mandatory.

Responsibilities

Deliver customer orders within the designated delivery area.
Periodically assist with in-store tasks, including food preparation and cleaning.
Operate store equipment and stock ingredients from delivery areas to storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler.
Prepare products and receive and process telephone orders.
Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
Clean equipment and the facility daily.
Navigate delivery locations, including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites, while carrying products.
Use a hand truck to unload bulk product deliveries and move supplies as needed.
Meet periodic vehicle inspections for vehicles used for business deliveries.
