About The Position

Delivery Drivers deliver products by car to customers' doors within a designated delivery area and may make several deliveries per shift. The role also includes delivering flyers and door hangers, taking and processing orders, preparing products, stocking ingredients and supplies, receiving deliveries, taking inventory, completing paperwork, cleaning equipment and the facility, and maintaining customer relations and cash, cost, and inventory controls. Orientation and training are provided on the job. Team members are expected to follow company policies and procedures, work to a schedule, maintain food-management and store-cleanliness standards, provide great customer service, and support staffing, marketing, and profitability. The role involves extensive standing, walking, reaching, repetitive hand use, and occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, crouching, and climbing. Delivery work may involve driving in adverse weather, navigating stairs and other challenging terrain, and carrying products to customer locations.

Requirements

Valid driver's license with a safe driving record meeting company standards.
Access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
Ability to read maps and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions and communicate verbally with customers and coworkers.
Ability to perform basic arithmetic accurately and make correct monetary change; a calculator may be used.
Ability to take and process orders verbally, in writing, and by telephone.
Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Ability to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings, private homes, and delivery sites, while carrying products.
Ability to lift and handle cases weighing up to 50 pounds and carry pizzas, beverages, and other supplies.
Ability to perform repetitive tasks, work independently and with others, work under stress, meet quality standards, and make judgments and decisions.
Ability to stand for most tasks and perform frequent reaching and hand use, as well as occasional bending, crouching, climbing, and pushing or pulling.
Ability to drive in varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions.
Reliable attendance and punctuality and transportation to and from work.

Responsibilities

Deliver products by car to customers' doors within the designated delivery area.
Deliver flyers and door hangers.
Receive and process telephone orders and communicate with customers in person and by phone.
Prepare products and stock ingredients and supplies in storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler.
Receive bulk deliveries, unload them using a hand truck, and move supplies to shelves.
Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
Maintain cost, inventory, and cash controls and customer relations.
Follow company policies and procedures and meet quality, food-management, schedule, cleanliness, and customer-service standards.
Support staffing, marketing, and profitability.
