This role involves delivering propane to residential and commercial customers, including the delivery, setup, and installation of propane tanks and outside lines. Responsibilities also include conducting system tests, purging cylinders and tanks according to company standards, and maintaining related documentation. During slower periods, the technician will perform preventative maintenance on propane tanks, such as washing and painting. The role may also require working at other locations as a tender driver during specific seasons. A strong emphasis is placed on meeting and maintaining company and government safety, policy, and regulatory standards, with a goal of zero preventable accidents. The technician will also be responsible for maintaining safety and compliance records, and ensuring the service vehicle is kept in good condition through regular cleaning and pre- and post-trip inspections. Operating the service vehicle must be in accordance with all regulations, and adherence to dispatch policies and procedures is expected. The position requires a flexible schedule, including after-hours emergency call-outs, and clear communication with customers to maintain a professional image and superior customer service. The technician must notify their supervisor of any issues impacting safety, customer satisfaction, or productivity and always work in a safe manner, providing friendly and courteous service.
