About The Position

The Delivery Specialist delivers purchased merchandise to customers within the assigned market while meeting delivery and quality standards. The role provides a positive customer experience by building trusted relationships, offering advice, delivering products safely, resolving problems, and handling returns as needed. The position involves operating a delivery vehicle and related equipment, including a trailer at times, and working in varying weather and road conditions.

Requirements

Must be at least 23 years old.
Must have at least 3 years of driving experience and meet MVR check requirements.
Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Must have a DOT Medical Card as required.
Ability to safely load and unload a delivery truck.
Ability to lift and move large, bulky, and/or heavy merchandise, including lifting 50+ pounds.
Ability to push and pull merchandise up to 2,000 pounds with proper material-handling equipment.
Ability to operate job-related equipment efficiently, safely, properly, and accurately.
Ability to use Microsoft Outlook and Outlook Calendar.
Excellent time-management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
Strong customer-service skills and a professional, friendly attitude.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for communicating with team members and customers.
Ability to read, write, and count accurately to complete documentation.
Ability to navigate using GPS systems and maps.
Ability to successfully complete all required training.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, as required.

Nice To Haves

Previous truck delivery experience.
Experience with a hand truck, dolly, pallet jack, and forklift.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
Make timely deliveries that meet or exceed scheduled delivery times.
Operate and maintain a clean, organized delivery vehicle and delivery equipment, including a trailer when needed.
Load, unload, and organize products safely and efficiently.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
Maintain accurate delivery records and document issues.
Communicate with customers about delivery updates and concerns.
Provide exceptional, friendly customer service.
Partner with the field sales team and store personnel to meet customer needs.
Handle products carefully to prevent damage and ensure safe transport.
Follow traffic laws and company policies for safe driving.
Handle returns, exchanges, and customer inquiries as needed.
