Delivery Director

EdgeConneX•New Albany, OH
•Onsite

About The Position

EdgeConneX is seeking an accountable, execution-driven delivery leader to serve as Delivery Director (DD) within the Delivery Organization. The DD is the single-threaded owner of an assigned data center site or campus from construction start through turnover to Operations, accountable for schedule, budget, the Design Build partner relationship, and the customer relationship. The DD makes day-to-day project decisions and is the first reviewer of partner work, drawing on the site's Technical Program Manager (TPM) for technical deliverables. The DD and site TPM form one project team: the DD is accountable for overall schedule, budget, and execution, while the TPM owns technical deliverables. An embedded Project Controls (PC) Manager supports the DD on-site and executes against Project Controls Center of Excellence standards. An embedded Customer PM presents DD-validated content to the customer under the Customer PMO's account structure. The DD validates controls data and customer-facing reporting rather than re-deriving controls data or directly owning the customer-facing reporting relationship. This is a hands-on, on-site delivery role. The DD owns the project outcome while relying on the TPM for technical authority, the PC Manager for controls rigor, and the Customer PM for customer-facing reporting. The DD remains the single point of accountability for schedule, budget, and delivery outcomes to the Design Build partner, customer, and EdgeConneX leadership.

Requirements

  • Experience owning project budgets, schedules, risk registers, and customer-facing reporting on capital construction projects.
  • Strong program and construction management discipline, including the ability to own an integrated schedule and budget, manage partner performance, and align multiple workstreams and stakeholders toward RFS.
  • Sound judgment in deciding when to act, consult the TPM or PC Manager, or escalate.
  • Excellent communication skills to align the TPM, Design Build partner, Customer PM, and regional leadership, and to clearly present status, risks, and decisions.
  • Ability to operate autonomously in a fast-paced, high-growth environment where the portfolio is expanding and processes are maturing.

  • Own and maintain the project risk register, incorporating technical risks contributed and resolved by the TPM.
  • Proactively identify delivery risks involving schedule, cost, and partner performance; drive mitigation plans to closure and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Serve as the primary delivery counterpart to the Customer PMO and its embedded Customer PM.
  • Validate customer-facing content prepared by the embedded Customer PM to ensure the underlying project status is accurate.
  • Own overall project closure and customer acceptance at turnover to Operations.
