About The Position

The Delivery Chauffer is responsible for loading, transporting, and unloading petroleum products at Sunoco and customer locations. The driver must demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, environmental compliance, Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, and compliance with federal, state, and local laws. The role requires operating a gasoline tank truck and working rotating or various shift schedules.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Eighteen months of verifiable Class A driving experience.
• Current CDL with X endorsement (Tanker and Hazmat).
• Pass a current DOT physical.
• Possess and maintain a DOT Medical Certificate and meet FMCSA Medical Standards.
• Be able and willing to obtain a TWIC card, depending on location.
• Demonstrate safe operation of the assigned vehicle.
• Safety-focused, with a sense of urgency, strong work ethic, and positive attitude.
• Able to work rotating or various shift schedules.

Responsibilities

• Safely load and unload a gasoline tank truck.
• Safely transport loaded vehicles to assigned delivery points.
• Prepare and document activities in accordance with Federal DOT regulations and company policies and procedures.
• Perform required pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the assigned vehicle.
