About The Position

The Deli Specialist supports deli department excellence by ensuring product freshness, merchandising accuracy, and compliance with food safety standards. The role emphasizes passion, excellence, hospitality, and teamwork to deliver an exceptional guest experience while maintaining operational integrity. The specialist supports inventory accuracy, product rotation and presentation, guest engagement, and department readiness for promotions and seasonal events. The position requires a flexible schedule, including weekends, days, evenings, and holidays.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in retail, grocery, restaurant, or hospitality operations.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and work at a fast pace.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements, grasp, bend, and reach.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds independently.
• Ability to spend long periods on one's feet and stand or walk without a break for up to 4 hours or as required by law.
• Ability to use required personal protective equipment, including an approved hat, hair net, and/or beard guard.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Retail, culinary, and/or grocery experience.
• Experience with electronic shelf label systems, inventory management technology, or AI-enabled retail tools.

Responsibilities

• Ensure deli products meet freshness and quality standards, including proper rotation and dating.
• Execute planograms and maintain accurate product placement and signage.
• Coordinate with department leadership on ordering and replenishment of deli items.
• Verify deliveries for accuracy and freshness and follow proper receiving and storage procedures.
• Support compliance during key item transitions and promotional events.
• Follow company policies, food safety requirements, and sanitation procedures.
• Engage guests with a friendly, helpful approach on the sales floor.
