About The Position

The Deli Specialist supports deli operations and may work in any department, including Deli, Meat & Seafood, Bakery, Grocery, Produce & Floral, and the Front-End. The role helps ensure product freshness, quality, accurate placement, and compliance with food safety and sanitation procedures while providing friendly service to guests. The pay range is $18.90–$19.40 per hour.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in retail, grocery, restaurant, or hospitality operations.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and work at a fast pace.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, days, evenings, and holidays.
• Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements; grasp, bend, and reach; and lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds independently.
• Ability to stand or walk for long periods, including up to 4 hours without a break or as required by law.
• Ability to wear an approved hat, hair net, and/or beard guard, and personal protective equipment.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Retail, culinary, and/or grocery experience.
• Experience with electronic shelf label systems, inventory management technology, or AI-enabled retail tools.

Responsibilities

• Ensure deli products meet freshness and quality standards, including proper rotation and dating.
• Execute planograms and maintain accurate product placement and signage.
• Coordinate ordering and replenishment of deli items with department leadership.
• Verify deliveries for accuracy and freshness and follow proper receiving and storage procedures.
• Support compliance during key item transitions and promotional events.
• Follow company policies, food safety requirements, and sanitation procedures.
• Engage guests with a friendly, helpful approach on the sales floor.
