About The Position

The Deli Specialist supports deli department excellence by maintaining product freshness, merchandising accuracy, and compliance with food safety standards. The role emphasizes hospitality, teamwork, and operational integrity while delivering an exceptional guest experience. Responsibilities include supporting deli inventory accuracy, rotation standards, product presentation, guest engagement, and department readiness for promotions and seasonal events.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in retail, grocery, restaurant, or hospitality operations.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and work at a fast pace.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, days, evenings, and holidays.
• Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements, grasp, bend, and reach.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds independently.
• Ability to stand or walk for long periods, including up to 4 hours without a break or as required by law.
• Ability to use required tools and equipment and wear an approved hat, hair net and/or beard guard, and personal protective equipment.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Retail, culinary, and/or grocery experience.
• Experience with electronic shelf label systems, inventory management technology, or AI-enabled retail tools.

Responsibilities

• Ensure deli products meet freshness and quality standards, including proper rotation and dating.
• Execute planograms and maintain accurate product placement and signage.
• Coordinate with department leadership on ordering and replenishing deli items.
• Verify deliveries for accuracy and freshness and follow proper receiving and storage procedures.
• Support compliance during key item transitions and promotional events.
• Follow company policies, food safety requirements, and sanitation procedures.
• Engage guests with a friendly and helpful approach on the sales floor.
