Deli Clerk
About The Position
Shop N Save, part of St. Barnabas Health System, is seeking an experienced Deli Clerk. The role provides customer service in the deli, supports customers with product suggestions and special orders, and prepares and stocks deli products. Work includes using a deli slicer and deli stacker, slicing meats and cheeses to order, frying and baking chicken and other products, and preparing sandwiches, salads, entrees, and more. The clerk is responsible for following food safety and sanitation requirements and cleaning dishes, preparation areas, and equipment. Additional duties may be assigned by management. The position is offered full-time, part-time, or PRN, with various shifts, at the SNS Brighton Twp location in Beaver, Pennsylvania. The listed pay range is $10.00–$14.00 per hour.
Requirements
- Communicate effectively with coworkers and customers.
- Read, count, and write, and accurately complete all documentation.
- Perform basic math.
- Access all areas of the store, including offices, the selling floor, stock areas, and walk-in coolers and freezers.
- Lift approximately 50 pounds occasionally and 20 pounds frequently.
- Repeatedly or for sustained periods, walk, stand, bend, and stoop.
Responsibilities
- Provide a high level of customer service.

- Stock cases and ensure customers have a variety of high-quality deli items.
- Comply with food safety and sanitation requirements.
- Clean and sanitize dishes, food preparation areas, and equipment.
- Use a deli slicer and deli stacker.
- Slice deli meats and cheeses to order.
- Fry and bake chicken and other products.
- Prepare sandwiches, salads, entrees, and other products.
- Perform additional duties assigned by management.
