About The Position

Conducts all-source analysis of foreign defense industrial programs, infrastructure, and capabilities supporting a foreign country's ability to develop, equip, sustain, and employ its military forces across basic, strategic, and military industrial sectors. This includes assessing the research, development, acquisition, test, evaluation, and production of foreign weapon systems and equipment; their associated facilities and output levels; knowledge of emerging and enabling technologies; and supporting industrial supply networks from raw materials to finished weapon systems. The analysis covers overall industrial organization, production processes, industrial control systems, design and surge capacities, cooperative arrangements with foreign defense industries, and reliance on foreign technologies. The role also involves advising, assisting, and supporting in the research and production of all-source counterintelligence analysis on foreign intelligence services' intent and capability to exploit, sabotage, subvert, or otherwise disrupt supply chains for critical minerals, industrial minerals, and alloys.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an area related to the labor category.
  • 5 years of experience working in or analyzing critical minerals and materials supply chains and industries.
  • Experience conducting global supply chain research.
  • Experience identifying sourcing opportunities.
  • Experience assessing geopolitical market trends affecting rare earth battery material availability.
  • Knowledge of emerging battery chemistries and lifecycle analysis.
  • Ability to understand and analyze chemical and physical properties of metals and mineral compounds.
  • Provide technical expertise on how these industries function, operate, new developments in the industry, and how malicious actors or adversaries can potentially exploit or disrupt supply chains.
  • Current active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph required.
