About The Position

At Regions, the Default Solutions Processing Specialist resolves delinquency status on past-due customer accounts through in-house recovery or a third party. The role works with customers and outside parties to resolve delinquencies, collect payments, and ensure account files and documentation are complete and accurate. The position also supports risk management, regulatory compliance, cybersecurity practices, process improvement, and disciplined change management.

The position is based at Poplar Main in Memphis, Tennessee. Work is onsite until approval to transition to a hybrid arrangement; hybrid schedules depend on business needs and performance expectations. The schedule is Monday through Friday, either 7:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. or 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. The role tracks time and is eligible for overtime for hours worked in excess of 40 per week under the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to interpret and ensure compliance with applicable rules, regulations, and industry guidance.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Strong organizational skills.

• Bankruptcy servicing experience.
• Loan servicing or consumer lending experience.
• Collections and delinquency resolution experience.
• Strong analytical and research skills.
• Knowledge of banking regulations and compliance requirements.
• Experience in bankruptcy servicing, mortgage servicing, consumer loan operations, or default management.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with customers or through outside agencies or counsel to resolve account delinquency while minimizing company interest losses.
• Collect delinquent payments.
• Ensure files and paperwork are properly and accurately completed.
• Contact outside parties to collect or clarify documentation.
• Ensure compliance with risk management programs, rules and regulations, and cybersecurity practices.
• Identify opportunities for and support process improvements.
• Apply disciplined change management practices.
