About The Position

A. Duie Pyle is a family-owned transportation and distribution business founded in 1924, providing integrated supply chain solutions throughout the Northeast. The Dedicated Operations Manager manages a customer account, hires drivers, and develops a full-service transportation solution. The Dedicated Division provides customers with a regional truckload alternative in the Northeast.

Requirements

• Experience with load planning and driver management.
• Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Ability to be on call during driver work hours.
• Understanding and knowledge of DOT regulations.
• Effective communication and customer service skills, including the ability to represent the company in a positive, professional manner.
• Strong organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

• Previous transportation management experience in a dedicated environment.
• Knowledge of TMW and People Net.
• P+L responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage scheduling for a dedicated customer.
• Be available and on call for driver and customer needs.
• Build dynamic routes using the company's routing software and learn to use the system.
• Optimize schedules daily or as needed.
• Maintain an onsite presence at customer locations and build strong customer relationships.
• Partner with sales and customer service to schedule deliveries.
• Work cross-functionally within A. Duie Pyle to service the account and grow the business.
• Hire drivers.
