About The Position

This role with EPES Transport, LLC., a division of Penske Logistics, is based in Greensboro, North Carolina. The Dedicated Operations Manager manages the day-to-day operation of assigned Dedicated Account(s), ensuring that safety, customer, and driver goals are met or exceeded. The role drives profitability through contract compliance, expense mitigation, and business growth; focuses on revenue, operating income, and pretax performance; and reviews financial statements to identify opportunities for improvement. The manager works both tactically and strategically to accomplish business needs.

The position is onsite, Monday through Friday, on first shift from 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 2 years of transportation operations experience.
• Independent problem-solving skills.
• Intermediate computer skills.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Willingness to travel as necessary and work the required schedule at the specified location.
• Completion of a Penske employment application and submission to a background investigation, including past employment, education, and criminal history, and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Schedule customer shipments to meet service expectations and serve as the primary point of contact for tactical customer needs.
• Ensure accurate and timely payroll submission in accordance with company policies.
• Submit billing accurately and on time and work with customers to resolve billing issues promptly.
• Manage daily driver interactions, address operational concerns, and escalate issues as needed.
• Coordinate with PTL to ensure timely preventive maintenance and equipment repairs.
• Execute company safety programs, including Smart Drive, High Risk Driver Reporting, and driver coaching.
• Contribute to developing and executing business plan goals, aligning daily operations with strategic objectives.
• Complete other projects and tasks as assigned.
