About The Position
A dedicated retail-freight driving role for new Class A CDL holders covering New Jersey, New York City, and Connecticut. Runs are round trips, drivers are home every week, and training with a mentor is paid at $650 per week. Drivers average around 2,100 miles per week, with day and night shifts available. Weekly gross earnings average $1,700 to $2,000, with mileage pay of $0.85 to $0.90 per mile and an additional $75 for each delivery in a New York City borough. During peak season from October to December, no time off is available.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL.
- At least 21 years old.
- At least 120 hours of training from an accredited CDL school.
- Must live in New Jersey, New York, or Connecticut.
- No more than two moving violations in the past two years.
- No major preventable accidents in the past five years.
- Must pass hair and urine drug testing.
Responsibilities
- Transport retail freight across New Jersey, New York City, and Connecticut.
- Complete round-trip runs and deliver freight to assigned locations, including New York City boroughs.
- Participate in paid training with a mentor.
