About The Position
Garden City drivers: a dedicated paper products account out of the Savannah area. Home every week and $0.64 a mile. The Schedule Out Sunday back Friday, or out Monday home Saturday About 1,600 miles a week Home weekly Pay $1,100 to $1,300 average weekly gross $0.64 per mile Weekly performance, safety and service bonus Freight Dedicated customer freight in GA, SC, NC, VA, FL, AL and TN Drop and hook, live loads and preloads New CDL Holders Paid training with an experienced driver Weekly training pay Benefits Medical, dental and vision kick in at 30 days 401k with a company match PTO that builds as you work $300 orientation pay, and the trip to orientation is covered
Requirements
- Class A CDL
- 21 years or older
- New CDL Holders: Proof of 120+ hours from an accredited CDL school
- Experienced drivers: 6 months OTR in the last 12 months, or 12+ months in the past 5 years
- 2 moving violations or fewer in 2 years
- No major preventable accidents in 5 years
- Clean DUI/DWI history for 5 to 10 years, based on when you got your CDL
- Able to pass a DOT physical plus hair and urine drug testing
- Live within 25 miles of Savannah, GA
Responsibilities
- Drive a dedicated paper products account out of the Savannah area.
- Transport freight in GA, SC, NC, VA, FL, AL and TN.
- Perform drop and hook, live loads, and preloads.
- Complete paid training with an experienced driver (for new CDL holders).
- Adhere to safety and service standards.
