About The Position
Join our team as a Debt Resolutions Specialist (Collector) at Interior Federal! We are looking for a dedicated individual to assist with our loan processes and ensure excellent member service.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of similar or related experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong communication and conflict‑resolution abilities
- Proficient computer, keyboarding, and 10‑key skills
- Ability to lift or pull up to 25 pounds
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Symitar preferred
Responsibilities
- Manage delinquent loan accounts, collect past‑due payments, and coordinate collateral recovery
- Process charge‑offs and escalate significant issues to the Debt Resolutions Supervisor
- Monitor and work daily Overdraft Privilege Program (ODP) reports
- Partner with members and collection agencies to set up Fresh Start arrangements and post payments
- Respond to credit bureau disputes and maintain accurate documentation and account records
