Experienced Debt Collection Agents
About The Position
Credit Control is hiring experienced debt collection agents to work full-time at its Tampa, Florida office. The role involves handling inbound and outbound calls about past-due accounts, tracking assigned accounts, negotiating outstanding debts, and planning how to recover overdue payments. Agents also respond to consumer questions and complaints and must comply with local, state, and federal debt-collection laws. The position is based in an office call-center setting, with no hybrid or work-from-home option. Paid training, monthly individual and team bonuses, additional incentives, and opportunities for growth and internal promotion are offered.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of third-party collection experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Basic math and computer literacy skills.
- Professionalism and ability to build rapport with consumers.
- Ability to foster teamwork and cooperation.
- Successfully pass a background check.
- Ability to work full-time in the office in Tampa, Florida; hybrid and work-from-home arrangements are not available.
- Reliable transportation to the work location.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in debt collection, an outbound call center, telemarketing, or a related field.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
